infinity Pool is a 2023 science fiction horror film written and directed by Brandon Cronenberg
Cronenberg began developing the project in 2019, with production later pushed back to 2021. Many actors joined the project that year and mainly filming took place in Šibenik, Croatia. Infinity Pool premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival on January 22, 2023, and was released theatrically in Canada on January 27, 2023, by Elevation Pictures. The film received positive reviews from critics, and the atmosphere and Cronenberg's direction deserve praise.
Plot:
At a local resort, James (Alexander Skarsgård) and Em (Cleopatra Coleman) enjoy a wonderful vacation of beaches, special staff, and sunshine. But led by the seductive and confused Gabi (Mia Goth), they venture out to the resort and find themselves in a culture filled with violence, violence, and horror. The dire situation forces them to face the law of crime denial: THEAZNEWS Jeither kills you or if you're rich enough to pay, watches you die.

MPA rating:
For the US release, the original cut was rated NC-17 by the Motion Picture Association. Neon appealed to the Standards and Testing Committee, but the action was upheld. After the renovation, it was rated R.
Filming:
The first shoot took place over five weeks on September 6, 2021, at the Amadria Park resort in Šibenik, Croatia. After twelve days of filming, production moved to Budapest, where filming was completed. Post-production took place in Toronto, Canada, and was completed in the second half of 2022.
Box office:
Infinity Pool earned $1.1 million from 1,835 theaters on its first day of release. It debuted with $2.7 million, placing eighth at the box office and surpassing the lifetime of the director's father's 2022 release Future Crime ($2.4 million). In its second weekend, it left the top ten with $900,000.
